Basketball Court Construction in Brookhaven, GA

Most Brookhaven properties sit on mature, wooded lots with Georgia red clay soil beneath the topsoil, which affects drainage and grading decisions before any court surface goes down. Established neighborhoods often have sloped yards or mature tree roots that require careful site evaluation, since a stable, properly graded base is what keeps a court performing well through Georgia's heat and heavy rain seasons.

Many Brookhaven homes also fall within HOA governed communities, so we factor in setback requirements, fencing rules, and shared sightlines when planning court placement. Whether the project is a backyard space in a quiet cul-de-sac or a shared amenity in a larger subdivision, our team walks the site first to confirm drainage, access for equipment, and the best orientation for sun and lighting.

A full size backyard court typically needs a larger, flatter footprint than most standard city lots offer, which is why many Brookhaven homeowners opt for a half court or a scaled down layout instead. Half courts and shooting key configurations fit comfortably on many of the area's residential lots while still giving players room for real gameplay.

For properties with more acreage, especially near Dunwoody or Druid Hills where estate style lots are more common, a full court or even a multi sport layout combining basketball with pickeball lines becomes realistic. We measure the available space during our site visit and use our online 3D court builder to show homeowners exactly how different court sizes will look and fit before construction begins.

Want to combine games on one slab? Our multi sport court layouts add pickleball lines to a basketball surface.

Acrylic color coating systems are the standard for outdoor basketball courts because they hold up well against Georgia's intense summer heat and seasonal freeze thaw cycles that can stress asphalt and concrete over time. We apply these coatings over properly prepared asphalt or concrete bases, and we also offer resurfacing and restriping for existing courts throughout Brookhaven that have faded or cracked.

Color and line choices are fully customizable, from classic two tone court colors to layouts that incorporate pickleball lines for multi sport use. We work with homeowners and facility managers to select colors that complement the surrounding landscape or match existing HOA and school branding, then handle precise line painting for both basketball and combined sport courts.

Have an older slab that just needs new color and lines? Ask about basketball court resurfacing, or play with colors first in the 3D court builder.

Beyond backyard installations, we build basketball courts for HOA communities, neighborhood recreation areas, schools, and churches throughout the Brookhaven and broader DeKalb County area. Shared courts see heavier use, so surface durability, proper fencing, and clear line markings matter even more than on a private residential court.

We also plan lighting and fencing for community and commercial courts to extend usable hours and define the play area safely. Multi sport designs that pair basketball with pickleball are increasingly popular for shared facilities since they let a single court space serve more residents or students throughout the week.

Our crews also build basketball courts in Buckhead for neighbors nearby.

Every project starts with a site visit to assess the yard or facility grounds, check drainage and grading, and discuss court size, surfacing, and color preferences. From there, our team handles base preparation, surfacing, and acrylic color coating before moving into precise line painting for basketball or multi sport layouts.

Homeowners and facility managers can also use our online 3D court builder to visualize design options before committing to a final layout. We coordinate hoop and goal installation alongside optional lighting and fencing planning, managing each phase so Brookhaven clients have a single point of contact from the first conversation to the finished court.
